Born and raised in Southern California, Julia Marley has been performing ever since she could speak.

Quickly falling in love with musical theatre, Julia's dreams came true when cast in her first professional production at the age of 14, Children of Eden with Cabrillo Music Theatre (now 5-Star Theatricals.) She was then cast in The Little Mermaid, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Matilda, where she was a Selvin Scholarship recipient. Julia began 2024 by tap dancing alongside West End legend Caroline O'Connor in All Roads Theatre Company's inaugural production of Mack & Mabel. The musical also starred My Best Friend's Wedding's Dermot Mulroney.

Julia danced alongside Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman in the 2020 Golden Globe-nominated Netflix film, The Prom, with choreography by Tony-award winner Casey Nicholaw. She was then cast alongside JoJo Siwa and Tisha Campbell in the 2021 Emmy-nominated Nickelodeon movie musical, The J Team.

Songwriting has always been one of Julia's favorite creative outlets. Her new single, "Souls of Steel," is now available to stream on all platforms. The song is inspired by the homeless epidemic, with hopes to ignite empathy and compassion for those dealing with unimaginable struggles.

In 2021 Julia launched her podcast Behind the Resume, where she 'walks through the memoirs' of accomplished artists from all areas of the entertainment industry. Some of Julia's remarkable guests include 3x Tony Nominee Kevin Chamberlin, Jane the Virgin's Ivonne Coll, 2x Tony-nominated choreographer John Carrafa, and Emmy-nominated songwriter/producer Matthew Tishler; to name a few.

Julia has been a mentor and teacher for the special needs non-profit Allwayz On Stage for over a decade. She is now their resident choreographer for the main stage summer shows, and teaches dance classes throughout the year. Working with the special needs theatre community is one of Julia's deepest sources of joy and fulfillment.

When she's not writing music, acting, or performing, you can find Julia choreographing musicals. She is a passionate teacher and loves nothing more than inspiring the next generation of artists. Shows Julia has choreographed include Willy Wonka JrShrek Jr, High School Musical Jr, Grease (full length high school production) and Matilda Jr.

Julia is passionate about sharing her life and experiences through vlogs on her YouTube channel, volunteers regularly with the organization Lollipop Theatre Network, and dreams of making art that inspires and uplifts the world.
